While Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited was founded in 1998, the group's medical heritage dates back to the early days of Hong Kong.
1868
The Hong Kong government appointed its first port health officer, which in turn led to the establishment of Drs. Anderson & Partners. This medical partnership pioneered contract medicine services and developed an excellent reputation that still exists today.
1957
Dr. Henry Lee opened his general practice and soon branched out into corporate medicine. The practice grew into a large local group practice in Hong Kong.
1975
Kathleen Courtney founded the International Private Nursing Service, now known as Quality HealthCare Nursing Agency.
1989
Dental and Physiotherapy services established, later formally acquired by Quality HealthCare in 1998.
1998
Quality HealthCare Asia Limited was founded and listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKSE ticker 593). The same year, the group acquired Drs. Anderson & Partners and Dr. Henry Lee & Associates.
1999
The group acquired Allied Medical Practices Guild. The same year Quality HealthCare opened its first Chinese Medicine clinic, in association with Hong Kong Baptist University.
2000
Quality HealthCare formed a Chinese Medicine Network and a dental network in Hong Kong. The same year, the group signed the "Total Integrated Healthcare" Agreement with Cathay Pacific Airways for providing healthcare benefits to Cathay’s staff and eligible family members.
2001
Opening of the Flagship Chinese Medicine Clinic.
2002
Opening of the LASIK Centre and Cosmetic Skin Centre in Central. The same year Quality HealthCare entered corporate market in China by forming a joint venture with International SOS.
2003 - 2006
Expansion of the Quality HealthCare local network to 700 Western and Chinese medical centres.
2006
Expansion of the Quality HealthCare LASIK & Ophthalmic Centre, in addition to the expansion of the Physiotherapy and Footcare centres.
2008
The group acquired GHC Holdings Limited, expanding its network presence and services offerings into key residential areas.
2010
Quality HealthCare became a member of Fortis Global Healthcare.
Ms Cheung
