Our Chinese medicine services are modern, reliable and convenient. They follow the blueprint of our Western practice and we have computerized all our herbal prescriptions and receipts and user-friendly herbal packs are produced by automatic brewing machines.

Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine has established high-quality delivery standards and supports the Hong Kong SAR Government's objective for Hong Kong to be a centre of CM excellence. We co-operate with the newly-constituted Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong, the body responsible for issuing licenses for CM practitioners in the SAR.

In addition, our services are governed and guided by our independent Chinese Medicine Medical Standards and Compliance Committee to ensure the high quality standards. This Committee is composed of members from the Chinese Medicine Council of HK, CM Practitioners from within and outside Quality HealthCare, as well as CM dispenser.

Regular bi-monthly meetings are held to formulate Chinese Medicine medical standards and operational guidelines for our medical centres, with ad-hoc meetings organized as and when required.

These quality assurance measures include:

All Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine Medical Centres have a set of standard clinic procedures to are rigorously followed, including:

  • Proper medical records are maintained in clinics for immediate reference.
  • Printed prescriptions clearly list all the herbal medicines by quantity, signed off by a dispenser and counterchecked by Chinese medicine practitioners.
  • Auto packing of brewing herbs.
  • Computer labeling of herbal medicine.
  • Strict restrictions on practitioners prescribing dangerous or poisonous herbs.

Patient assessment guidelines similar to those used in the accident and emergency department of public hospitals have been adopted in all our Chinese Medicine Medical Centres. Patients requiring urgent medical attention are referred to registered doctors in our western medicine clinics for immediate consultation.
