Quality HealthCare's measures and updates related to Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19)

As a responsible and professional healthcare provider, patients and our people’s health and safety are always our priorities. Quality HealthCare has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 related situation announced by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP). We have enhanced the infection control measures including the setting up of Infection Control Committee to monitor and formulate related actions.

(I) The protection to our patients in Quality HealthCare clinics

Quality HealthCare reiterates that we conduct temperature checks and health screenings for patients, clients and visitors arriving at the clinics. Patients, clients and visitors are also required to use alcohol hand rub and put on surgical masks upon arrival, implementing infection control measures as precautions.

If those under Compulsory Quarantine or Medical Surveillance have developed a fever or other symptoms, they should call the designated hotline stated on their Compulsory Quarantine or Medical Surveillance requirement document to notify CHP for follow up.

We support CHP’s Enhanced Laboratory Surveillance Programme. According to our doctors’ clinical judgement, we will provide free specimen containers to patients for collecting deep throat saliva samples for relevant testing, with an aim of identifying cases early in order to minimise the risk of community transmission.

When an individual is found fulfilling the reporting criteria of "Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent", we will isolate the suspected case, transfer the suspected case to public hospital for further investigation and carry out thorough disinfection of clinic afterwards. Related notice has also been displayed at the entrance of the clinics.

If we receive notification from CHP regarding a confirmed case which had visited our clinic, we will work closely with CHP to support them on contact tracing of the case.

As a professional medical services provider, we would like to remind those concerned to wear a mask and wash their hands frequently to maintain good personal hygiene. If those concerned have developed a fever or other symptoms, they should go to the A&E department of a public hospital immediately. For queries, please do not hesitate to call the CHP hotline: 2125 1122.

(II) The protection to our medical staff in Quality HealthCare clinics Our people’s health and safety are always our priorities. All medical staff of Quality HealthCare clinics has implemented travel declaration, perform daily temperature check, keep temperature record logs, wear masks and appropriate protective equipment, and constantly monitor respiratory symptoms or diarrhea. We also maintain close communications with medical staff to protect their health and wellbeing needs. If we receive notification regarding a confirmed case which had visited our clinic, we will share our lists of staff that have performed medical duties at the clinics during the above periods of time to the Center for Health Protection, and will follow up closely.

(III) The high standard infection control measures at Quality HealthCare clinics We have activated the infection control monitoring and notification mechanism in accordance with the emergency response level guidelines issued by the Centre for Health Protection. This includes daily cleaning of the clinic areas with 1:49 diluted bleach before clinics open, and we exercise even tighter hygiene standard, by performing regular cleaning every two hours of clinical areas such as the reception area, waiting area, doctor's consultation rooms and door handles with diluted bleach.

The medical teams of Quality HealthCare are at the frontline of the medical response to COVID-19. We are ready to face this health challenge together with the public. Patients and our people’s health and safety are always our priorities. We would like to remind patients, clients and visitors to use alcohol hand rub and put on surgical masks upon arrival to clinic receptions. Quality HealthCare will carry out temperature checks and health status screening for patients upon arrivals.

The CHP has set up a dedicated webpage (https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/index.html) and a hotline (2125 1122) for the public. Information including the latest local situation, list of buildings and list of flights/trains/ships relevant to the confirmed cases, countries/areas with reported cases as well as health advice are uploaded onto the webpage to help the public grasp the latest updates.
